June 1, 2008 is going to be a special day at SFBC. At the 10:00 a.m. worship service we will recognize those who are graduating from High School and College. We are so proud of each one of these fine young ladies and men. A gift will be given to these graduates from our church. I urge each of our members to give a gift of love to these students who have worked hard to earn a diploma. These are our graduates: Brittany Ayers, Casey Boulware, Lindsey Kleinknecht, Jordan Wiggins and Pam Reynolds. Come join us Sunday as we honor these special people.

Biker Sunday will begin at 1:30 p.m. Sunday June 1, 2008. There will be a fellowship and games through out the afternoon. What a Precious Gift?

I have a very happy announcement to make to all of my friends; Nancy and I are going to be grandparents again. What more could we ask for, than to have another child to love. Grandchildren are a blessing from the Lord above and we are so thankful to have the ones we have. Just think, when we came to South Florence Baptist Church, our boys were single. We had no grandchildren. The Lord gave us a very beautiful little girl the first time. She was named Nancy Elizabeth Allen. She lived almost five years before dying with cancer. Daniel and Kristin had another little girl named Hanna Dabney Allen, she was so sweet and beautiful. She has brought much joy to our lives over the years. She is now 12 years old. Adrian and Tammy were married and they gave us a little girl named Kelsey Adrian Allen. She has grown to be a beautiful young lady. God has blessed her with a talent to sing. God gave us Landen Thomas Allen who is just like his papa Allen. He is so full of life and loves playing ball. He can sing also and play the African drum. Then, there is Micah Daniel Allen named after his uncle Daniel. He is the baby as of now in the Allen family. He is a pistol! He is so independent. He is a Nana's boy. He is full of life. Now, we get to the Jeffery and Dori family. God gave us a very special boy with Jeffery Caleb Allen. He is so smart and sweet. He likes building things. He looks like his daddy and acts like his momma. We now have Joshua Kaden Allen who is the red head like his mother. He looks like Dori and acts like Jeffery. He likes tractors and the outside. He has a loving spirit. I also have two grandchild by marriage in Hopkinvilles, KY. Daniel and Laura Allen have Casey who is grown with a little baby girl named Jaylin. She is the baby in their family. Rachel is the 12 year old with red hair. These three are very sweet and loveable. We are blessed to have such a wonderful quiver full of arrows. Than you Jesus! Now for the good news, Jeffery and Dori are having another child. Due date is in December or first of January 2009. Jeffery and Dori we love you and are very happy for you.

Love ,

papa & nana Allen

The Blessing of the Hands

The Lord gave me a real experience at Carolina Hospital during "The Blessing of the Hands." There were about ten pastors present to pray over the staff at Carolina Hospital. It was a sweet experience going from one department to another praying for all the employees to be used of God to help the sick who come for healing. Each pastor had a time to pray and minister to the staff. We saw men and women seek guidance for their lives. Some people requested prayer for their marriages and family members. Just to see the tears fall from their eyes after we prayed was so touching. It showed me that people from all walks of life have needs. I was just happy to be part of such a great ministry. Everyone in the Carolina Hospital was prayed for and given a ray of hope in Jesus. The name of Jesus was lifted up. Thank you Lord for the door you opened.
